UGA Invitational
The 2025 UGA Invitational is offering an unprecedented opportunity to Elite Junior Minority Golfers & Collegiate Athletes from across the US, Canada, and Caribbean to compete in this signature 36 Hole Tournament February 14 - 16, 2025. Participants will compete in two rounds of high level golf against on the Copperhead and Island Golf Courses at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida the 2025 host of the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship. This annual golf event is set to be a spectacular gathering, drawing up to 104 of our most talented junior and collegiate golf athletes from across the United States, the UK, and the Caribbean. This event was created to honor the 100-year legacy of the United Golfers Association to be more than just a competition - it’s a celebration of history and progress.
THE UNITED GOLFERS ASSOCIATION
United Golfers Association (UGA) [Founded in 1925] is a 501C3 - non-profit organization that is committed to increasing the introduction, development and advancement of Black youth and adults within the sport of golf.The UGA shares a profound connection with the UGA Invitational (formally the Jim Thorpe Invitational (JTI)), an esteemed golf tournament established in 2022. As a non-profit organization, the UGA has played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of minority representation in the world of golf for almost 100 years. The Invitational serves as the premier annual fundraiser for the UGA, stands as a testament to their commitment to fostering inclusivity and providing opportunities for aspiring minority golfers.

Two Teams | Two Days | Copperhead Golf Course | One Team Trophy
In an inaugural event, two collegiate teams comprised of 24 of the nation’s top minority collegiate athletes will be led by two Team Captains who will select their players through a rigorous process. Each team will compete in a joint Women’s & Men’s Match Play Golf event to battle for the honor of hoisting the 2025 Legacy Cup.
